College Name: PSG College Of Technology
About Event: Department of Production Engineering in collaboration with M/s. Janatics has started the Centre for Pneumatics and Automation at PSG College of Technology in March 2014. The training centre includes training kits for pneumatic automation, latest sensor kits (hardware and software), data acquisition and interfacing systems for online monitoring and control of processes. This centre will provide a wide scope for project assignments and help students to build hybrid systems by integrating important automation technologies such as Pneumatics, PLC and Mechatronics. In addition to hardware equipments, latest softwares offer simulation and analysis functionalities in a user-friendly environment. The beneficiaries of the training centre will be the end users of the automation technologies provided by the company. The major objectives of the training centre is to provide basic hands-on training in automation and sensor technology, to inculcate the ability to formulate industrial problems related to automation and control systems, to work on industrial projects and to develop in-house solutions/products for interfacing of machines and sensors in collaboration with the industry and patent them.
